Re: Triban RC 520 Gravel Adventure Bike. Any owners?

that is a nice looking bike. The only downsides I can see is it is QR (rather than Thru-axle) and cable disks rather than hydraulic. well priced, but heavy at 10.3k, scrimping on some components (e.g. microshift cassette/) no obvious geometry chart as an alternative (albeit a little bit dearer) how ...

Re: Buy 2018, Giant, Cube or Whyte?

I got my aluminium 2019 Trance 2 for £2k ;) I was considering an Carbon 'Advanced' Trance or anthem or carbon Santa Cruz Tallboy / Blur, but in the end decided I just couldn't justify £4k and to be honest, the Trance 2 29er is more than adequate... ;) a carbon £4k bike wasn't going to be twice as good

Re: Single speed disc brake bike?

I'm struggling with the idea of a disk brake working on a bike with horizontal track ends as the disk position changes with wheel position in the track end. Vertical dropouts and a chain tensioner / ecentric bb would work I guess I can't see how the other two do it but the Genesis has sliding brake...

Re: Farsports Wheel Configuration

to be honest, the nipples look "standard" and I have no idea how they are located and what to do if a spoke breaks. I guess (worst case) i will have to drill the rim bed by hand above the spoke and manually fit a regular nopple. i guess the nipples could be located in the wheel track, perh...
