Re: Wheelset for Pompino with 120mm rear spacing

Unfortunately it would be out of my budget to purchase the rear (as much as I'd like to) aswell as buying a matching front. Also I don't think it would make a very good commuter wheelset with the low spoke count and not being able to fit a very wide tyre.

Re: Wheelset for Pompino with 120mm rear spacing

Hi Ugo, I've had a quick look at Planet X hubs but they only seem to have one flip flop hub and its in gold! I wanted all black if possible. I'm not in the London area though unfortunately. Would something like this be suitable for my needs? Helps keep me under budget - which I don't want to do by t...

Wheelset for Pompino with 120mm rear spacing

Hi,

I've recently acquired a Pompino which has 120mm rear spacing and am now on the look out for a wheelset for it.

The bike will be used primarily for commuting.

I have a budget of £150 (max) for the wheelset, does anyone have any recommendations or reviews of wheelsets in that budget?

Thanks

You're correct, the top photo is of the 2010, the bottom is the 2011.

Giant Defy 2 or Specialized Allez Sport

I've given both a test ride and know which size I need in both, however I like them both equally to ride, though I think the Allez looks much nicer than the Defy. What I wanted to know was is there anything the Defy has over the Allez or vice versa, or any other bikes I've missed at the £600 mark? T...

I have an mmmBop and love it. It did take a few rides to get used to it though! You can pick an SLX groupset from for £170 (ish) delivered http://www.actionsports.de/gb/Components/Groupsets/Shimano-SLX-660-10-Komplettgruppe-3x10-fach::28904.html I bought my groupset for my mmmBop build from there an...

I put this thread up incase I missed out on some Domains on Ebay. I've managed to win them. Brand new Domain RC's with U-turn (2011) so I'll be using those now. Think they'll be more suited to me and can run them at 160mm, like yourself if I ever feel like I need it. I'm still undecided on wheels TB...

I don't know which headset I'm supposed to buy. A normal 1/8" one and don't use the cups or an integrated one?

I haven't ordered mine yet, but might do later ...

Just bought some brand new domains for £200 which has a 1 1/8" steerer, that's why.
