Re: BREXIT - Bercow Blocks Again. Anyone Would Think He's Pro EU.

More common sense from Peter Foster. Next year is going to be fun*. https://mobile.twitter.com/pmdfoster/status/1186583828091027456 *worse than the last 6 months. More impossible promises followed by being smacked around the face by reality. I think they should sort the extension and cost now. That...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Checking the weather forecast for an already tough marathon this weekend to see there's going to be heavy rain and near 50mph winds (and that's just in the valley, should be fun on the hills!).

If you don't want the gig, fcuk off then.
Oh and you could at least pay some of the public funds back for your house renovations before you go.

Best consider the exit strategy very carefully first though.

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Saw that Tyson Fury and Robin Williams were to collaborate. My heart soared at the prospect of the gurning chimp from SoT getting a good pasting only to find out they were to release a record. Pah!! https://news.sky.com/story/robbie-williams-to-duet-with-tyson-fury-on-his-first-christmas-album-1183...

Probably. Thing is, rubbish as we were today, Wales are still there.....

And that's the sort of lucky performance teams often get along the way in winning big sports tournaments (not that I can see past the All Blacks).

Proper Kevin the Teenager behaviour by Boris but listening to the radio it seems to have played well with his base.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2019

Blatant shirt pull on Barratt to stop him making a tackle on the initial break in the build up to that try. Not sure how that got missed.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2019

All Blacks giving a masterclass in simple basic rugby. Nothing flashy but just doing the basics right. Ireland look clueless summed up by Sexton's performance. The only positive for Ireland / negative for NZ is the scrum, something for England to target. Nice to see the All Blacks all wearing black ...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

Why is it that when I go into Sports Direct I feel like I might be the only person in there (customer or staff) who has ever taken part in sport or physical exercise of any kind? Maybe I'm being judgemental and there are a lot of professional Sumo wrestlers and Olympic shot putters frequenting their...

Re: BREXIT - Like Sons of Anarchy. It goes on and on and on.

Brexit Party predictably whinging about how this is Brexit in name only and they won the last public vote on a position of a clean break Brexit. I think they may have had Coopster speaking for them. I guess they are worrying they are about to lose any relevance they have and those cushy, well paid j...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Have they said what the logic of targeting Canning Town station is? Seems a weird choice. One of the "journalists" attacked this morning was asked that very question, along with why target public transport, which ideally you want people using rather than their cars. His only response was ...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Everyone's favourite protestors seem to have really messed up this morning. Stupid choice of target and learned nothing from the fuel protests that once you start impacting on the lives of 'normal people' you alienate their support. Also, targeting a station in the East End is a bit more dangerous ...

I genuinely thought he'd retired a year or two back. Talented but slightly eccentric cyclist that never quite reached his potential, that horrendous crash obviously didn't help though.

Re: BREXIT - Bercow & Swinson Meet Their EU Bosses to Receive New Orders

Polling is at 50% for Scottish Independence but I can't see it happening fast enough to capitalise on the brexit mess and the peak in support will subside. ...looks at the mess Westminster is in and how long brexit will run and run for and thinks, hmmm... I wonder how inconsequential the Scottish c...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Car mechanics, main dealers in particular. Time and again after I’ve picked the car up after an “under the bonnet” issue I’ve had to reset the radio, the seats, switch the auto stuff back on and so on. Today they’ve even managed to set the SatNav to monochrome which I didn’t even know was possible....
