Re: Drugs in other sports and the media.

The fun thing about the 1:59 is that everyone complaining about the shoe tech are doing Nike's marketing for them. If they just go out and say "4% gain" everyone says "marketing bollox". But Ross Tucker going out and saying "4% gain, CHEATING!" sells them like mad :-D ...

Re: Re: S*** small race thread 2019

I thought tubeless tyres with sealant were the solution to punctures ? Id have thought tubeless with a slightly tougher tyre (I'm not talking gatorskins) would have pretty much made it very unlucky to puncture in those sectors they didn't look all that bad. some quite big loose stones but I didn't ...

I haven't seen the race due to cycling around Nice commitments. From what I've read it looks like a repeat of just about every classic/ monument this year. Rider attacks, no one chases, rider wins. This has been the worst year i can remember for one day races.

It shows how pathetic a lot of the people new to cycling are. Hopefully they'll wee-wee off and take up rollerblading, or whatever the next cool activity is, sometime soon.

Re: Dream bike - what would you spend?

I don't think that deciding you want an expensive bike then choosing one, qualifies as a dream bike. Its just an expensive bike. Dreaming of having any (ie not specific) expensive bike would be pretty shallow.

Interesting that he taught his athletes how to fail an asthma test and so get access to the relevant meds Where do you get that? It's not in the reasoned decision. There is no mention of asthma at all as far as I can see (search) Lauren Fleshman has detailed it in interviews. My point is that the d...

Best race of the year.

I'd like to see the men's worlds be held on a short, savage course one year.

He was pulling some faces before his legs went. There was a shot of him gurning while Trentin was biting his lip looking like he was bored. Even the BBC commentators picked up on it.

I don’t have access to the BBC, but it always stuns me that professional journalists who’ve had hours to prepare for an interview ask such vapid questions when they get their chance. I guess it’s just the laziness that you see in all professions. The guy doing the interviews is just a clueless fool...

Surprised so many people were calling it early having seen the last couple of days. Quite, even Boardman et al were banking that MT was going to win this, it's never over until it's over and today was a brutal course as shown by vdP absolutely bonking like a newbie! Superb course choice and glad th...
