I will no longer internally object to the price now, as it must be fairly labor intensive.

Poundland self-service tills that are 'voiced' by a burger-era Elvis impersonator.
The board must comprise of people who think it's witty, whereas it's just pointless and annoying.

So who are the top ten bearded (racing) cyclists? Luca Paolini, Bradley Wiggins, Peter Sagan and the Russian in American Flyers are surely automatic selections. Simon Geschke is a decent pick. Sean Eadie on the track. Who else? No stubble. And I'm undecided about goatees despite having one myself f...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Not so much annoy as baffle, this one - old ladies who wear big, heavy winter coats on the hottest of summer days. Why?! This annoys/baffles me as well. On gloriously sunny days, I'm forever clocking OAP's (mostly men) with flat caps, overcoat, collar'ed & tied, V-neck jumper and, I suspect, a ...

Watched the documentary Icarus over the weekend, well worth a watch. What starts out as an experiment to deliberately dope during Haute Route, turns into something much darker as the Documentary Maker is overtaken by unfolding global events http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6333060/ It's on Netflix, or (a...

Watched it over the weekend.
Didn't laugh once, but I will admit to a brief snigger over the cheater/cheetah bit towards the end.

Trainspotting 2
Liked the wistful, nolstagic melancholia that Danny Boyle captured, and also liked how Spud was kind of the movies epicentre.
What I didn't like is that the way that the official trailer was cut suggested a completely different film to the one we ended up with.
