Re: Seemingly trivial things that cheer you up

Rescuing a Partridge Family. Not that one. Driving to a chiro appt this morning, woke up too late to ride there, country road but busy, couple of birds in middle of the road ahead, pigeons?, no too brown coloured, why are they not flying away? Closer see 2 adult partridges plus 2 tiny balls of fluf...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

Nothing wrong with a bit of stealth but I think of certain cars in certain colours. So A-Martin in my mind should be dark blue/silver/racing green. Ferrari - Rosso of course but black or navy look good. Porsche - black, silver, dark or pastel blue or guards red. Never yellow unless the sun shines co...

Re: LEAVE the Conservative Party and save your country!

I'm still totally boggled that no-one seems to care anymore than both leaders are campaigning to do things that anyone who knows anything knows you cannot do. Why is this not the biggest story? If you expect people to lie then it is no longer a story when they do so. And we all know the consequence...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

Expensive cars in drab colours. Saw an Evoque convertibe today that was a matt grey with black wheels/softop. I've seen a Porsche 911 and Panameira near me, both 18 reg in beige. I dont expect Lambo neon but beige!!! Like those farah slacks older people might wear. Beige is less unimaginative than ...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

Two things I have noticed that have changed this week: - The remoaners are back to spouting their usual rubbish (the pips are squeaking  ) - Project Fear has been rebooted... (funny how it went away when May surrendered to the EU late March) Some things never change. Coopster, do you think you...

You're missing out. They can be pretty funny in a headbangy sort of way. Besides, it is a useful reminder of how this clusterfck actually happened.

Re: May has gone - ding dong the utter, utter, total failure of a prime minister is gone

FT reporting that Tories are getting ready for a snap election this year. Keen to offload the toxicity of sorting out Brexit to another party or at least unload partial blame onto a coalition partner? I can see how that might pan out. "no, you go into coalition with the tories". "No,...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

I see my original post as perfectly reasonable analysis of the current situation. It's 100% accurate that those changes have occurred this week with the realisation from the losing side that Brexit is going to happen and the more they fight it, the cleaner Brexit will happen! So is that a don't kno...

Re: Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

The new peloton adverts which talk of “ World class instructors” How does one become a world class instructor. You take a course and demonstrate how good you are at shouting 'inspirational' phrases such as "you're awesome" "come on, you've got this" etc. etc. You forgot "le...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

To me the surprising thing is that Darroch saw fit to write those comments down in the first place. Everybody with any sense at all knows that Trump is a petulant, insecure cretin who needs constant flattery and surely didn't need Darroch to tell them. All this has achieved is for Trump to quickly p...

Re: A question

What would be the point? Unclipping is an almost subconscious action and quite easy! I'd feel safer avoiding an unnecessary physical interaction with a motor vehicle and it wouldn't look good to other road users. And I'm not surprised he didn't understand; it's not a suggestion that anyone would beg...

We might do better by spending less time apologising for bad things that our dead ancestors did in the past and instead concentrating on fixing the things that people in one or two hundred years time will be agonising about apologising on our behalf for. Like I said it’s not either or, nor is it ur...
