Re: New Bike Advice - Giant TCR Advanced Pro vs Canyon Ultimate CF 8.0 vs Canyon Aeroad

Love to know what all these Canyon issues are? Had an Ultimate SLX for 4 years and it is completely inscutable. Rigid, light, solid. Nothing like the plasticcy Giants I've ridden. I don't understand Cycling Plus' infatuation with Giant at all. Apart for anything else I couldnt live with the aestheti...

This is simply not true. What kind of glib cockamamie comment is that?

Re: Campagnolo bike

The average age of posters in here is easily 87. Times have changed folks, get a more efficient gearing set-up Yes, and disc brakes, power meter etc etc It always bugs me when Cycling Plus et al review a <7KG bike and complain that 39x26 gearing is way too tall. Even conventional compacts don't see...

Yep. Live in Bristol. That photo was taken somewhere along the two tunnels route while taking the bike for a test ride.

Well I bought the cheapest Shimano 11 speed cassette - a 105. It works perfectly.

In fact it seems smoother than the chorus one

11 speed cassette on 2008 Cosmic Carbone SL

What the title says really. I have Shimano 10 speed on these wheels - can I slide an 11 on its place? I actually want to run them on Campag 11 speed but I understand a Shimano 11 cassette runs perfectly with Campag 11 http://velonews.competitor.com/2013/09/bikes-and-tech/drivetrain-compatibility-hid...

I'd ride a sportive on it if I still wanted to pay to ride my local roads with a bunch of rude mamils. Don't believe it is part of their sportive range though...
