Re: Anyone used SPD-SL to SPD adapters with road bike shoes?

I use the shimano adapters and they are fine. However, the first thing you should do is pull the rubber bit off and then super glue them back on, because I think shimano must have used cream cheese to attach them and they start peeling off immediately. Once super-glued, they stayed in place.

Josef Planckaert?

Was that 7 day sin total or 7 days on the trot?

No dry dashing or whatever it was called was necessary in the end

You miss the point. They have bike mechanics. A bicycle does not need a very high level of training to maintain or assemble. Kids can doi it. I can do it (and I work in banking). Whether it's 105 or Dura Ace makes no difference, it works the same way and is assembled in the same way.

Re: B'Twin 6.7kg £3,499.00

It's a bike with top parts, not a rocket. High end stuff works just the same as low end stuff; it's just springs and cables. Good value and looks ok. It's a carbon bike with high-end parts with more precise tolerances. If you crank up the bolts on the stem as hard as you can without using a torque ...
