Re: My first drop bar commuter / gravel / tourer, and lost in options and specs. Please help if you can!

Have you considered a mail order option from the UK? Planet X are now offering 1 to 1 GBP to Euro and are listing 6 bikes that have special discounts at the moment. If your budget can stretch for it, The On-One Space Chicken would tick most if not all of your boxes. £1700 or Euro plus shipping. htt...

Re: Unlit roads commute

I second much of the comments above. I have 2 options to get to work - busy urban streets/highway through , or unlit, rural roads. I pick the rural roads any day of the week, and as Essex-commuter says, I feel safter riding the rural roads at night over daytime as others can see your lights casting...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

Think of the children. But seriously i don't think the children give much to this protest nor do I think that they were deeply emotionally scarred. Should I listen to songs such as Horst-Wessel-Lied just because they are played by children. So parking that issue maybe the forumites can advise as to...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

More the point it was a bunch kids playing, wasn’t it? If they’re so anti the EU why bother turning up. Can't they claim a lifetime pension from the EU once they've taken their seat? Only once they've served at least 1 full year and then their pension accumulates at 3.5% of their EU salary for ever...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

I think they overestimated how much the british public were interested in voting reform. Even though we will probably have a situation next time where Labour or Conservatives will still win with 20% of the vote or something equally daft. Last poll I saw had Farage winning 25% of the vote and 320 se...

Re: Road tubeless tyres, where and how much?

I've had both the Roadlite and the Formula Pro X-Guard in 25mm. The X-Guard is more durable and I struggle to notice the difference in speed. Both are great quality and have lasted me over 5000 miles. https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/products/irc-roadlite-tubeless-tyres https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/col...

Re: BREXIT - Time to Pick Your Next MEP

On the plus side it could finish of Boris's political ambitions if he becomes leader on the basis of delivering a hard Brexit and then fails to do so. The best bet for any other senior Tory would be to not stand but the egotist in many of them would rather have being PM on their CV even if only for...

Re: Which shoe size?

Thanks for replying. Isn't it a pain being between sizes, eh?! How did you mould down the 45, just sort of push it in with your hand with the shoe on? Edit: Hello to Jason Isaacs, indeed 8) I found a video online I think from Bont that said once you've heated the shoes (minus cleats, laces and inso...
