Not exactly the same, the geometries are different for a start. They may be very similar, possibly made in the same factory, but not the same.

Re: Handbuilt wheels... the big thread

For simplicity I’d be very tempted to get the same hubs on 700 rims. Different hubs may require adding shims to get the discs in the same position.

Re: Handbuilt wheels... the big thread

I have and would recommend a set of 650b with WTB Resolute 42c and a set of 700c with schwalbe g-one speed 30c. Get the Hunts with the bike, they are decent wheels, and get another set of Hunts or something similar from a wheel builder for up to £500, no need to spend anymore in my experience.

Re: Road tubeless tyres, where and how much?

Does anyone have any possible solutions? Ideally without removing the valve or rim tape. Nope. Take it all off and see whats going on. Sounds like something is amiss. Are you sure the leak is from within the tyre around the valve, not the valve itself leaking? This. Leaks that appear to be coming f...

Re: 650b Gravel/Adventure Bikes

I already have the Vitus with 700c wheels. Clearance on them is 42c or so. So all I need is some 650b to try to see how much you can run. I'd like to be able to do something like 2 inches and also the 47c Byway as per the WTB guide above Stupid question time: Bikes that are 700C & 650B compatib...

There's an interesting Arkose thread on Singletrackworld with regular contributions from the bike's designer https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topi ... e/page/23/

Re: Pinnacle Arkose

So loving the idea of a gravel bike/cross bike, been in Evans and really like the Pinnacle Arkose, but unsure which model, the 2 or 3 has hyraulic Tiagra/105, and the 4 has the 1 x 11. Had Tiagra before and shifting was flawless, guess the 105 would be as good or better, but would the Sram 1 x 11 b...

Re: 29ers and frame size.

I'm a similar height to the OP and from my recent test rides at Evans (Norco & Pinnacle bikes) there was definitely more standover height on the bikes with 27.5" wheels than those with 29" wheels. I ended up going for a small Pinnacle Ramin 4 with 29" wheels in the end as I prefer...

looking for (1x drivetrain, internal dropper post routing, tubeless tyres, remote lockout fork Your kind of limiting your choice there, and is it really nessesary given: riverbank commutes and recreational XC A dropper will add weight and additional servicing. Re: Pinnacle Ramin 2 or Norco Charger 7.1

That doesn't make sense you said that the reach on the Iroko was too short at 424mm, but the Ramin is 413mm and the Norco 398mm. By todays standard the bars on the Iroco are on the narrow side 780mm being fairly normal. I see where you're coming from but both the Ramin and Charger have much slacker...

Pinnacle Ramin 2 or Norco Charger 7.1

I'm considering buying a bike on the Evans Ride-to-Work scheme. It will be used for riverbank commutes and recreational XC type rides in the Peak District. I've had a test ride of a Pinnacle Iroko 2 but wasn't keen on the relatively short reach and wide handlebars. I discussed this with the shop ass...

I simply cant be arsed with tech that is fiddly. wahoo need to work on this. Garmin in contrast can be plugged into my PC and I can read the files the old fashioned way. I am have bought a garmin 1000 today so I will have a play with that. I might be underwhelmed as well. A factory reset means I lo...

I had the same issue yesterday with my Nexus 5X. I was also having issues with the fingerprint sensor so I tried a factory reset which fixed both problems.

Re: 32mm tyres: Marathon Supreme, Voyager Hyper or something else?

I had the Hypers in 35 which are a big 35. They looked massive but they were plush and fast even down to 30psi. They were my favourite tyre for the first 1500 miles, but then the punctures started coming thick and fast despite looking hardly worn.

So. Was a consensus reached on the best mudguards to fix onto these? Not altogether thrilled with mine:- https://i.imgur.com/U9SMk2l.jpg For me the bizarre placement of the bolt on the front fork is what causes the most compatibility issues. They look identical to the mudguards fitted to mine. I pu...
