Re: 1:59 challenge

Presumably he could also have run this quickly if he did it on the track or on a downhill course. It's interesting that he has chosen to do it with the rotating pacemakers. Perhaps, this way is more marketable than the other ways. The track is not ideal as the bends are quite tight and you'd be spe...

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

Couldn't get on with my gabba. Shakedry works for me. On when it rains and off when dry. Folds away to a pocket. Can't do that with a gabba.

Re: Which Garmin watch Fenix 6 pro Vs FR945

I've had the fenix3 for 4 years now. I use the face protector rather than the sapphire model and it's as good as new. Great for trekking too. I use mine for running cycling and swimming.

Bite the bullet and get a winter bike if you can't fit guards on yours.

Re: BREXIT - Boris' Last Roll of the Dice? - Corbyn Waiting in the Wings?

Some people see problems where others see solutions That's been a running theme for a large part of this thread. I think that the Remainers tendency to see problems is down to the utter failure of any brexiter ever to provide any solution (other than complete non starters drawn up on the back of a ...

Re: Broken Spoke

Take it to the local bike shop so they can get the correct spoke for you. Get a couple so you can fix in future.

You need a block removal tool and a chain whip and a spanner to hold the block removal tool.

Oh and a spoke key to tension it.

The Irish customs border zone apparently..... (quite a high percentage of the whole of NI covered!) https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/01/irish-customs-no-mans-land-look-like-10839369/ I wonder how far people will need to travel to these places away from the border that they'll need to go to for their cus...

I'm not sure Pinarello actually make a ten grand frame.

You can buy two Dogma F12s for that price.

What's more expensive than that ?

It's pressure advice. Doesn't say max.
A lighter cyclist 50kg is advised to use 87psi.

Re: Good Winter Tyre for 2019 ?

Got my michelins chaps. Thanks for the advice.
I see they recommend a pressure higher than I'd use on my Contis.

For 25mm they say 116 psi.
I'd be down at 80 on my gp4000s.

What pressures are other Michelin users having ?

Re: Dream bike - what would you spend?

When I got my first job I got my dream bike. Custom steel by a builder who made for world champions. Top components and groupset too. It wouldn't have been outclassed in any pro tour peloton. And it wasn't crazy expensive either. Nowadays with 5 figure bikes - it seems prices have skyrocketed. My bi...

Can you put a piece of metal tubing over the QR lever to give yourself some leverage ?

Have a look in the shed for some garden implements that might have suitable handles.
