Re: Rugby World Cup 2019

QF predictions - always good for a laugh. ENG/AUS and WALES/FRA - close could go either way. SA be too strong for Japan I'd say and unfortunately NZ will hammer IRE. Should be three good games I reckon (France shouldn't present Wales with too many problems, Wales playing like a side that will win *...

That's a good point too, I have had the bike shoes for many years...

I was under the impression (based on nothing I confess) that Eliud's were unique uber-shoes

Re: 1:59 challenge

Great achievement but I'd rather the 2 hour barrier remained unbroken until someone could do it in a race or if not then an unpaced time trial. Yep I am in two minds about this. Like Bannister “cheating”to beat 4 minutes it removed the psychological barrier so could be interesting to see what happe...

Re: Rugby World Cup 2019

I think they have (/had to) play. Ok so it could not be in the right stadium or even in front of any crowds but 15 v 15* had to happen somewhere...

Steroids work!

Re: Drugs in other sports and the media.

It might be the third or fourth time I've mentioned this in this thread alone but when I played rugby it was common for people to dose up on Ibuprofen and Pro plus before games even at the pathetically low level I used to play at. Usually, harder core drugs were only taken by the wideboi yardies who...

Re: Suits

For the very short time I was rich and living in london and cared about fashion and that, a tip I got that sounded sensible to me was to buy a suit (also applies to blazers) from a shop if necessary and then take it to a tailor to do the final fine tuning. I never got around to trying it though befo...
