Prudhome's "asking" teams not to field riders named in Operation Puerto in this year's TdF. When will this hydra finally be killed off?
The other sports who had suspects in this fiasco must be laughing at the way cycling's let these allegations fester on.
Prudhome is using Ullrich's +ve DNA testing as a reason for this action.
I think the time has come for teams to take a lead on this, either to insist that all the blood is DNA-typed and any riders under suspicion have their blood tested and compared or to tell Prudhome that if rider "x" is declared persona non grata, then none of their team will be riding.
Still, at least they'll be a French winner that way!

  • OffTheBackAdam - the voice of reason! All true cycling fans must be heartily sick the way the sport has been ripped apart by what is at best a piece of half-hearted investigation. Ok, so TdF don't want another 2006, but do you want to devalue the event and exclude riders who for 12 months have faced nothing other than innuendo? Talk about dragged out - the best stage rider in the world may again not be allowed to compete on the best stage for no reason other than his dog may or may not be called rex or butch or something! What a laughing stock... PS, I still support the Drug Free Sport campaign - you can do both.
