Nike and Ipod have a system called Nike + that includes a sensor put in the shoe and a receiver to go on the Ipod, this tracks mileage and calories etc, so you can plan training. It is designed for running but has anyone tried this in their cycling shoes?

I might be miles off but surely the downstroke of the pedal would be similar to the impact you'd get by running, if so it could work really well and also allow you to cycle to music at the same time
