Does anyone know about KHS?

I have been planning a build from scratch and whilst talking to one of the lads at work (who is trying to sell me everything because he going away) he offered me a KHS Alite Team frame with some form of SID fork, not sure which one, and an Easton Bar and Stem all for the princely sum of œ200. I don't know anything about KHS other than what he has told me (they're uber light!) and was hoping some knowledgeable soul on here could shed a little light on this for me. Also, am I getting the deal of the century here, providing everything is in good working order?

Used to make some decent rigs, and still do. I remember the shop I worked at in the 90s had an Alite 4000. On the face it seems a good deal, but do check that frame carefully for damage. Older sids are notrious for loose bushings and siezed adjusters.

My first "proper" mountainbike was a KHS Alite in 96 it retailed at œ900 with ridged forks, it is very light and responsive and will soon be back in action as a s****e speed hack . SIDS tend to be on the flexy side though depends on your riding.0

TBH I wanted to get a Ti frame for a change to my current ali ride but I am very tempted by this if all is well. Will have a look at it next week. Cheers

Haha, yeah I know. I'm just trying to decide whether to go with what I intended/wanted initially or snatch at this! I suppose I have plenty of years in me *touch wood* to build a Ti hardtail.
I have heard that the SID forks can have a lot of flex in them so would probably sell the fork, stem and bar and then upgrade the stem and bar to carbon, not sure about the fork yet.
