Hope floating discs

Anyone around here use them?

I was thinking about getting some, but have heard that they can start "rattling" over time. Has anyone experienced this?

Are they worthwhile over standard fixed rotors. Are they purely for bling factor?

Mainly for bling tbh. I like them, they are a bit more tolerant for set up because they have a little lateral play and are supposed to be able to get hotter and expand rather than warping. I've had them 6 months now and no rattling.

You've had them 6 months but how far have you ridden and how hard do you ride?

One of the guys at work who races has got the slightly thinner ones that come with the Works version and they've started rattling after only a couple of months.

no ratteling here, alot of tinging wen they get super hot[:D] had no problems at all with the discs! had them on bike about a year, ride a fair bit they have proved themselves on dh tracks and a week in spain! i did manage to cook a set of pads tho, they just stopped working after a really heavy day draggin rear brake alot! put some new pads in nxt day and they were spot on again!

Had my floating rotor for 18month now, been cooked once (that set of pads lasted the longest I've ever had out a set of pads!), survived a few crashes, been dropped edge on onto the side of a brick wall (I honestly don't know how I never folded it!), and it's still running perfectly true, and is tight on the rivets.
And you can't beat that tinging after a long descent [:D]

I have to be honest, this is the greatest rip off of all time. The advantages are nil. In 99.9% of situations you will never heat a rotor anywhere near the stage that it warps. It pure marketing crap.

Only had mine a couple of months so cant talk about long term,but i love em if they stay the way they are,plus they do look bling.

No probs with mine. They are lighter than the normal disks and look the biz. They seem to stay cooler. so they qre not marketing hype
