is there any xc racing in south east?

as title suggests, anyone know of xc racing in south east, i.e. kent sussex, essex, surrey. to compete in grand vets class.

    There was the spring series or whatever its called by Gorrick but thats over. I think there are some events later in the year, tend to be in Surrey though, ive not found any closer (I am East Sussex), check out www.gorrick.com for more info

    If you can get to NE london/Essex then there's the Beastway MTB series, it's on wednesday nights in Hainault country park, Rd 3 (of 10) was last wednesday, I've done the lot and it's really good.

    used to ride at at the old venue and gave up, as its too much of a rush after a hard day at work to get there and then get motivated to race. I see now its œ10 to enter, thats taking the piss.     For me it's œ5 and I sometimes help put up the course so I get free entry, I suppose trying to get there from work would be hard.

    went riding with some mates this morning and they are doing beastways. May finish work early one wednesday and give it a go

    Or the north or south downs! :)

    bedgebury is very flat but the overall height change around the lap is very high (my friend has a an@l altimeter thing set up on his bike)
