Evening, back from Island Hut, dog walk, Thai carryout for tea...

Hope no-one gets too much damage from the storm ( and that our house still has a roof when we get back)

Morning Workers. Lovely weather today, bike ride cancelled due to a slight breeze. If it's dry might run and also clean bike after last wkends shenanigans. Won't be going mad given the weather. Looks like SG is off again somewhere hopefully nice and Vince is enjoying kiwi hospitality hoping his roofs still on when he gets home.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

    Morning

Frikkin rough. Never known it this bad here. Lost a well established Berberis already.

Beans is safe. Girls are off school as it was decided yesterday to call schools off. Ferry sailings cancelled, council workers etc etc

Not sure if there will be post.

    More coffee required.

Jings, is a tad breezy round these parts. First 30 minute power cut of day now resolved, so I can internet dabble via wifi again...

Not much will be done, esp outside, today I guess.

Was a bit wet and windy when I woke up (outside, that is) but seems to have cleared off and left light rain and greyness.

WFH today, popping out at lunchtime to get a couple of new rear tyres for the Panzer in advance of the MOT next month, then off to see the consultant about my busted shoulder later on. May have a drink tonight to celebrate or commiserate depending on what he says.

    Morning

A bit breezy here but not too bad. Did get woken at 5:00am by something rattling down the roof, but I can’t see anything missing up there. Looks like we are going to the panto tonight.

Whilst looking at what are going to see at the panto, Robinson Crusoe. I noticed the great Carlton Kirby is on in few weeks time might be worth a punt.

Wifey still in hospital waiting on blood tests, I’m going skiing at chill factor later.

Not sure if skiing next weekend is going to be on the cards though… to late to amend the booking.

Would that be THE F*ck of Eowyn? Sounds painful especially if non lubed.

Remarkably quiet and calm here. Again. Lucky.

Did venture outside the house, well wrapped up of course. Bleepin' bleep, that wind is still vicious, supposed to be backing off gradually through rest of the day, down to only 50mph by this evening. Sun shining just now as well.

No damage spotted. Yet. The Rhino greenhouse looking fine. However neighbour's non-Rhino greenhouse, in a less exposed position as well, is not ok. Most glass panels gone, and there's a lot of metallic sounding clanging going on. Guess what I'll recommend him to do.

Time to ogle some pros in summer sunshine.

    Evening folks,

POETS day is done,, mild hangover this morning, now relaxing before going to collect old dear and sister from the airport. Not been too windy here so hopefully no delays. Hope the damage isn’t too bad for those that had it bad.

I feel your pain HD, after losing half my skiing time last week.

Went to see the quack and I'm going to need an op on my collar bone to get it pinned/plated whatever it is.
