Appears we had a light dusting of snow overnight. Not much but probably enough to cause traffic meltdown and panic.
Ps porridge was most enjoyed by wifey who continues to compliment my porridge every morning by saying its better than ever. Surely there must be a limit?

Not forecast for frost but still got it, seems we are strangely colder than any forecast. Anyhow, in town again and have beers arranged after work - balls to Dry January.

Pinno's most excellent anti Presbyterian frugality Porridge recipe: (it's very complex, try and keep up)
1 cup Oats
1 cup Water
! cup milk
Pinch of salt
Bring to the boil together, turn down and stir a lot.
When desired consistency is reached; add a table spoon of double cream and stir once.

It's snowing.
Beans is now in the habit of giving me screwy looks and wants an escort outside for ablutions as it's been cold and he's been unwell. Minin mini mini fully insulated sou'wester on order with handy shovel carry pouch so as not to get one's paws dirty on order from specialist.
Built a garden trellis yesterday for my establishing Clematis. Only, had to cut it out of the metal it had previously clung to (shyte over priced metal trellis from garden centre) very slowly and carefully with an angle grinder. Took a while. No casualties. Today more loft boarding to complete the job plus some extra lighting.
Solar panels due on in just over a month. Wahey! I'm going to put Scottish Power out of business the f*ckers.

Foggy and damp here, everything got a thin coating of sleet overnight.
Issue is now that it's going to freeze tonight and the next three on the trot meaning chaos as slush turns to ice.
I think I'll take the workshop snow showel home at lunch and do a bit, mine snapped in the last ice age.

Morning all. Dark when I got to work but flipping freezing with slight dusting of white stuff. Only half a day at work today for a change.

No snow here just icy. Fixed the gate latch and cut some wood for a shelf in the linen cupboard, which meant being outside and frozen fingers. Warmed up a bit putting up said shelf and earned some brownie points. Now trying to psych up to train in garage which had a temperature of -1 when I was getting some tools out.

Evening folks,
a snowy start in west Oxfordshire, staying in Burford for a couple of nights. A bit too twee perhaps, but has some nice pubs for dinner. Stopped off in Clarkson’s boozer after work for a quick one to see what it’s like. Given that it was 5:30 on the 7th of January and it was really busy I really don’t believe he’s losing money on it unless he’s being robbed or it’s a deliberate tax write off. It was alright, but there are better pubs round here with fewer twats in them.
