Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

Are you going to explain why you believe that I was referring to China? That is surely stereotyping. #snowflake

I could add Japanese tea.

Why does tea have to have a nationality?

Google tells me that black tea with some form of dairy in it may have originated in Tibet about 1200 years ago.
I am concerned that the British have been drinking Tibetan tea for centuries and claiming it is British.

You're not.

Most cultural traditions have associations with a particular country or location. Nothing to get upset about.

That is rather my point.
And yet bubble tea seems to be an exception. They will come after Ovaltine next.

I think it was the 'we can do bubble tea better than the Taiwanese' attitude that was the issue, but agree it is a silly thing to get upset about.

May I humbly suggest trying some different ones.

What if we can do it better? It isn't like we are claiming to improve holy water or the blood of Christ. Just a beverage.

Getting back running after a couple of weeks off resting a slight knee niggle. Sunday and yesterday I did very easy pace runs of around 3 miles at around 9:30/10:00 mile pace and my legs have felt really sore and heavy especially my calves. Yesterday I had to walk a bit of a hill to ease them off. Today I did a 1.5 mile warm up at the same sort of pace and had the same problem and again had to walk bits of the (same) hill. I then did a session of 10 reps. just over 400m each, at around 7:00/mile pace and my legs felt fine, my HR was pretty low for that pace suggesting my fitness level hasn't dropped much. Did the warm down again at around 9:30 pace but mainly downhill and my legs felt shit again. Why does it feel so much easier running faster? I can only assume my form is better and engaging more muscles at the higher pace. Hopefully I can get some consistency back and it will sort itself out but it's very odd.

I'm quite happy to stick to coffee, thanks. Confuses the French too.

Tea does taste like warm pond water, I agree.

I need to know where this pond is.

There's one in my garden that is tea coloured, if that helps.

I thought tea came from Yorkshire. How wrong was I?
China can keep their Camellia sinensis infusions.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Oh well, more for me.

I like a strong brew as well. Just different things for different occasions.

I think there's a tadpole in it.
Nice teapot though.

Just the best tea, apparantly

As long as it's not one of those teapots made out of recycled metal that have been poisoning thousands in... I can't remember where... maybe outer London?

Thanks. I have a small collection.
The tea is Jade Mountain from T2.

I like the teapot but am concerned that the dimples would make the tea cool faster.

It keeps hot long enough to drink the contents. It's a kilo or so of cast iron.

Who are worse for technobollocks, tea or coffee drinkers?
