Morning all. Definitely cool and bright this morning. Day off work as going to an elderly relatives funeral later. Starting to prep bike for next wks holiday. Hopefully running later with the club, shouldn't get to wet. Enjoy the day folks.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

    You're too old for that.

Alternatively, pour in a couple of bottles of gin and tonic and sit in it with a straw.

Morning les garde-côtes avec de la chapelure
Sunny but breezy and fresh. This time of year for a limited time only, we get sunlight right in through the front kitchen window.

    Morning

Only 7 degrees here this morning, we seem to be stuck in March. Just on second coffee, later will turbo and watching the cycling I hope there’s more on than just the Dauphin time trial. Even later will be docs to get my stitches out.

Not ventured as yet, I'm WAFH at the min (last day today)

Just had a phone call from the police to say my work mate (the boss) has been arrested and is in a cell in Weymouth. Hopefully its all a misunderstanding and he'll be let out soon. This is a first for me so not sure quite what to do at the min except more tea! Work cant be done as it needs the two of us, he has all the contact details etc. so I cant even let the site know we're not arriving when we said we were LOL

twiddle thumbs and drink tea at this moment... :)

Another day caving. Woken early by junior crashing aroundat 6.15 getting ready to go to her placement but went back to sleep for a bit. Senior hound turns 9 today so he gets an extra meaty chew thing as a birthday pressie.

A few years back a mate of mine had a similar situation with a colleague who'd been arrested and chucked in the cells. Later that day plod came round to the office, turfed everyone out and took some stuff away. Turned it he'd been caught 'upskirting' on a train by an off duty copper...they never saw him again.

    Moroning.

Bright, but chilly start. Had chance to ride to work today. Pleasant journey. Chatted to a friend on the hill instead of panting my lungs out. Must mean I'm getting some fitness back.

Charlie_Croker - interesting to hear your boss's story when he's out of the slammer!

    WFH 😮

Physio appointment at the hospital about my dodgy foot this morning. He basically said I'm weak and need to get ripped.

Cycled there because it was sunny. No bike parking so locked it to the biggest no parking sign I could find.

Got a Teams call after lunch so might set up in the garden if it stays sunny.

Gym later to start getting ripped.

  • Wind, sun, rain and maybe other weather.... Garden Centre visited, tea drunk, curry with friends later.

I've been to pick him up from Weymouth nick, cor they don't do anything in a hurry that's for sure.

He was released at about 15:30 without charge. Were both back in Dorchester now.

apparently there was a large van blocking the road, parked right across it. He asked 'what's going on here then?' cos he couldn't get past. One of the three guys with van told my mate to f-off and then started pushed him, so he pushed back. One of the others rang the police, then my mate rang the police.

The rozzers dealt with the other guys call first, so my mate got arrested.

Having viewed CCTV of the event it was deemed as self-defence, so no charges.

Apparently if my mates phone call had been dealt with first, they other guy would have been arrested. Which would have been correct cos he's the one guilty of assault.

There you go, a story to have a chuckle about when we get back home I'm sure. Anyway a new experience for me, been a lovely day such a pity I haven't got my bike with me

@thistle_ Yes correct, I was the 1 phone call

Tomorrow's another day haha But I think I'll have some more Jarpur tonight - Cheers!

    Evening folks,

Another busy day of orifice based nonsense, at least nobody got arrested. Nice and sunny out but rather nippy this morning. Might go for a wobble round the park shortly on the old steel roadie as there's a group of others that do so on a Wednesday evening. Pub later of course.

Watch you don’t get bike jacked. I’ve heard these steel bikes are sort after in some circles.
