Shimano 105 R7100 Di2 Woes

Hi forum people,

I'm having some issues with the groupset on my wifes new bike :/

So she has R7100 fitted and it seems to have lost use of the front mech ? :#

During new years day ride she shifted into the little ring, then when back on the flat tried to go back onto the big ring but nothing, I guess at this point it was an indicator of low battery ? the rear mech shifted fine for the rest of the ride, and on returning home she plugged the charger in and fully charged the battery.

The led lights on the rear mech confirm the full charge state - blue then green.

The rear mech shifts fine, but the front mech is completely unresponsive :(

Any ideas ?

Regards

Have you checked the front mech shifter is still connected OK on etube ?( the shimano app ) Are the battery's in the shifter still OK
Push and hold both buttons on the shifter to check battery levels on it ,light will flash on the outside .
Not impossible that the button has been held on during shipping ,
There was some issues that needed to update the front shifters as they would disconnect .
There is deffo an update for them, it's possible the shop didn't do it befire sending the bike out

Thanks for the reply Trevor, i'm not familiar with etube at all, is this something that I can use at home save taking it to my LBS ?

I will definitely check the lever battery power when I get home this evening ;)

    Much appreciated

It's an app download from either app store.
You connect to the bike via bluetoith and it shows all connected parts etc
It's pretty simple to use to do basic checks and updates etc
Just search etube on the app store .
    When connecting the bike
Press and hold the button on the RD until it flashes blue for making it visible to the app the passkey will be 000000 or 123456 .
Even if its the batteries in the shifter it's worth having to check for updates etc .
If it offers to change the passkey connect once with the default before changing it

TBH I wouldn't be fiddling around with it.

If it's pretty much brand new it would be going back to the shop.

I agree ,but checking batteries and connections etc are minor things .
Contacting them is the next step .Also if they are far away it's likely they would pay fir an LBS to carry out any work
