Did a ride yesterday before the game in anticipation of a free liquid lunch today, getting into the Christmas spirit. So on the train again...

Now had you said 'pineapple' instead of cheese Thistle, I might have been fooled but fooled I am not.
Do you think you can pass this cheap Chinese rip off thread as as genuine?

    Morning folks,
Day off today so lounging whilst the EPO works. Going to the old dear's shortly as big sis is over from Italy and we're sorting some stuff out. No wobbling as need the car to move unwanted furniture.
  • Sort of an early start, forgot to reset the alarm so ended up getting up early.
Tired now, run with the club this evening, bed.
I'll be popping down to see you southern softies on Friday and going to Winter Wonderland.

Similar to Seano really, without the coffee, replace with mint tea. I wore my winter jacket today, a bit snug, but fine in riding position. Felt sluggish, but checked the weather app on arrival and it confirmed a light NE wind, enough to account for the sluggishness.

What have you done to your knee @MattFalle ?
Or is it old age and cold weather?

Same NE sluggish wind here. I’m sure the massive roast dinner, whole bag of pistachios, ham baguette. Half bottle of vodka and cereal before bed had nothing to do with it.

    Ciao

Mixture of recent miniscal (little shock absorbers in the knee) and cartilage tear about 6 weeks ago (did it twisting and turning on the knee while running) plus, yup, old old age and years of knee getting abused.

The cold really, really doesn't help so its a constant sharp pain, so trying to keep it warm and secure. Fully aware that I need to go and see knee man but am just too lazy. Not arrogant, not thinking I can do better, just plain lazy bone idle.

Unforts this is the "good" knee, not the one with massive scars, pins and a torn ACL that we've discussed before.

Liquid lunch done. Decided I CBA to go back to the office so on the train back. Strifey is suspicious as to why I'm coming back earlier than normal...

Get on an aqua aerobics class, nice and warm, easy on the knees.
May/May not be easy on the eyes depending on clientele.

V good call - grazie! Will look into it.

problem is, I'll just spend the entire session beating groping hands off me and my old man's easily collapsible knee.

they won't poke fun at me will they?

I usually wear swimming shorts or they would poke fun at me.

If the person running the class is good and you put a lot of effort in it's a reasonable workout and if you're with someone you know it's a laugh.

In all seriousness, its a very good call: decent exercise, non weight bearing, most importantly fun and something new. makes a change from the old routine

tried that - I can swim but I'm not a swimmer if you know what I mean.

I went ages ago with a friend from work - he said "yeah, i'm the same as you. lets just go and do a few lengths"

got in the pool, he shoooooooomed off like Duncan Godhew and Thorpedo's love child while I slowly plodded up and down trying not to drown.

I didn't bother going swimming with him again.
