Cycling wise then 'Never Strays Far' is good. When the tours are on then the ITV podcast (again Boulting and Millar) and 'Watts Occuring' from Geraint Thomas is good.

Away from cycling I like Mayo and Kermode's Film Review which covers a lot more than film reviews (Hello to Jason Isaacs) and I really like 'More or Less' for calling out balderdash statistics in the week's news. If you have a popular science interest then the Infinite Monkey Cage is also excellent.

I have a dog to walk therefore I get through a lot of podcasts.
    Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
    Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
    Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX

I thoroughly recommend The Cycling Podcast, with Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie, Daniel Friebe and some guest contributors according to which Grand Tour is on at the time. Really well informed, quality journalism, delivered in a friendly, amusing format. Free, but you can (and I do!) subscribe to be a "Friend" for access to further content. I moved to TCP when I got so fed up of Velocast and the interminable whinging those two did about everything.

If you're a time triallist (and often, even if you're not, as the information is often generally applicable), also try Cycling Time Trial Podcast.

P.S. Velocast podcast, not to be confused with VeloNews podcast. VeloNews is great, lots of different sub-programmes, some on tech, some on training, some on cycling news etc.

Is it cycling related or wider spectrum you are interested in? Because I'm a solo worker, I download loads of different genres.

A couple of podcast series I really enjoyed.
'The Missing Cryptoqueen' which is about the woman behind the One Coin crypto currency
'End of Days' which is about David Koresh and the Waco siege but from a British perspective as 26 of the 76 that died at Waco were British.
'Fake Heiress' about a fake heiress Anna Delvey
    'Hello to Jason Isaacs'

FastTalk - 'Science' based training discussions
    CycingTips - All sorts,
TrainerRoad - I always listen, but best if you have a question or see a question you'd like the answer too
PodCrash - Philip Hindes & Callum Skinner talk with all sorts of guests
Freakonomics - Deep dive into some sort of economic topic, by one of the authors of the book
HiddenBrain - fascinating discussions on various topics related to "human behaviour, choice and relationships"
Ted Radio Hour - Ted talks on a similar theme converted to a podcast friendly format.

A lot of the ones mentioned above.
I’d also add The Joe Rogan Experience. Depending on the guest it can vary from boring to hilarious to interesting. Usually the latter two and you can judge fairly quickly.

Edit - If you want to be scared out of your mind about the virus, listen to Tuesday’s podcast. Otherwise avoid.

Oh, and Shagged, Married & Annoyed.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Crypto Queen seconded here. Tunnel 29 was pretty good too. Also the Infinite Monkey Cage.
The Bugle is quite entertaining if you like Andy Zaltzman

That Peter Crouch podcast is not a weekly analysis of football as per Football Weekly, The Totally Football Show et al; more 3 guys in a pub getting 1/2 pizzed one of which is Peter Crouch. Entertaining though.

The Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry: intelligent and light hearted science stuff.

    Another vote for RHLSTP.

The Modern Mann: wide range of subject matter, always has a good long interview which can be on anything, last one was on how someone's father got scammed out of £mega, one before was following Layla Moran LibDem MP for Oxford West and Abingdon in the last general election, and always has the Foxhole with Alix Fox, sex stuff of all different fashions 😳

Oh, and Athletico Mince with Bob Mortimer and pal.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread as I've recently got the podcast bug.

    My current favourites are:
    FastTalk - cycle training/coaching
The Rest Is History - history

Anyone else got any favourites ?
Any recommendations relevant to cycling (not just cycle sport), philosophy, politics, sociology, military history particularly welcome.

Current favourite Roy and HG Bludging on the Blindside from Australian ABC radio. I have no idea who most of the people they talk about are, but once you are into it, it is relentlessly funny and they've managed to keep that nonsense going for decades.

Rachman review is the best podcast out there on current affairs by a long way

"You're dead to me" is an interesting magazine/comedy history show. A focus on a specific person/era each episode with an expert and comedian on the panel.
"We have ways of making you talk" is a good WWII pod too

Best thing about the Rachman review is it’s 20 mins. All killer no filler

Cycling in Alignment - Colby Pearce' unique take on all things cycling, Really good on how to be a healthy athlete (not just a cyclist) with some philosophical tangents and a bit of woo woo thrown in

    Another thread resurrection.

Just listened to Mitch Docker's Life in the Peloton, Talking Luft with Luke Rowe. Really good episode. LR is very engaging; move into commentary once he retires?

Plus: just downloaded just now the latest Geraint Thomas Cycling Club episode, features a talk with Remco! That should be interesting.
