Meh. Pub was dead last night, but thankfully some mates there so had a feel of a lock-in

Today is run to do a local pub 5k with a mate. Then other than the rugby I’m unsure

'Stopping in'. Midlands vernacular. They're an odd race.

Wft is this thread turning into: 'Runners and walkers digest'?

Anyhoo, it's grey again. B4stards. Bloody council cutbacks.

Shorty reached her 9th gold star (that's the year limit) yesterday plus did her climate meeting evening so she had an exceptional day.
Whilst Mrs P was occupied with Shorty, Tricky and I had fun.
So that was a good day. But i'm hoarse. Not clippety clop horse, hoarse.
I sound very crook so i'll see how much I can milk this one...

    Mackenzie?

Slow start, aftereffects of overdoing both the bonfiring and the bevvying yesterday, several aches to deal with.

Assuming I can indeed achieve arris in gear, ride, meet up with some pals midway, they've planned a pub crawl in town which I reach the outskirts of on one of my regular loops, have a couple of beers, ride back, catch up on Paris Nice etc.

Ride, drink, ride, drink, there seems to be a pattern here...

Now off to local enterprise meeting.
I will suggest high class hoe outlet and casino.
10 pin bowling to keep the other halves and kids occupied.
Dress the place up with hanging baskets to make it all look good...

Any suggestions for the next one welcome.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start is being enjoyed, off to the old dear's shortly for her birthday, going to a Thai restaurant in Wombledon Village. Later will be pottering or snoozing depending on how much I eat.
Suspect the lad may be suffering when he surfaces, he had some mates over to watch the rugby last night. Last one left at about 3am and there's a lot of empties in the recycling.

Afternoon. Had a lie in-ish before taking Mrs GTi and her mother to her recently deceased uncle’s house so they could dig his will etc out of his safe. Brought a load of stuff back including a couple of rolexes* and a few other nock-nacks. She’s the executor of his will you see.

Anyway. Just been going through some of the stuff. The Rolexes are very nice considering that they’re pretty much guaranteed to be fakes; there’s a gold yacht master and a stainless steel submariner. They’re decent quality fakes, automatic movements rather than a quartz one and some care has been taken to make them look the part (nice crowns etc).

More exciting was the discovery of Mrs GTi’s grandfather’s Garrard watch what was presented to him by Vickers for 40 years service in 1973. That’s a proper wind up watch, looks like gold casing (could be plated) and it’s original presentation box. That’s going to be worth a few quid - it’s gone to her mum for now.

Other than that, got some work to do in a bit and will probably stick a rugby match on while I’m doing it.

Giggling Squid or Patara? Giggling Squid is good, I looked at the menu once at Patara and it looks good, if expensive.

Mrs H³ bought a peloton machine. I have done a couple of workouts on it. You get hard-bodied women telling you you're a superhero, which even the deepest rimmed of plastic wheels, or the fanciest of groupsets won't do. I can side load trainerroad or zwift onto it, but I'd have to buy power meter pedals. One for the autumn perhaps. I've done root fcuk all this winter due to excessive wimpiness.

Mrs. 666 is on a day trip to Liverpool to help junior sort some stuff out in her flat. Was left with a list of jobs which I've 'prioritised' and now off out for a quick pedal as the sun is shining but it won't be tomorrow.

We have a Giggling Squid in sevenoaks which is very good. Gets really busy on an evening.

Evening. Busy day, ended up rescuing daughter who insists on doing her own car repairs. Rear discs calliper's and pads on a Mondeo ST TDCi. Dad to the rescue with impact driver and brute force and ignorance. Left her fitting them after removing the last one for her. Now enjoying hotdogs and beer care of daughter as a reward.

She'd already got all the bits.
You got there and tell her Pinno thinks she's got street cred,
