Cadence sensor for Spin Bike

I am doing a few spin classes as part of a training regime. The bikes are straightforward spin bikes - mechanical and no electronics. I cannot guarantee getting the same bike every class.

I want to have some measure of effort and the only things I can measure are HR and cadence with them being picked up by my watch or my phone.

If I attach a cadence sensor to my PSD shoes will I record an accurate cadence?

I put my Wahoo cadence sensor on my shoe. Wear a HR, move the head unit to the bike being used and that's all you need. Same type pedals on all bikes.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Gamin do one as well that just straps around any crank. It is tiny.

I'd forget it and leave it attached!

Fair point. I lost mine in my office desk for about 2 years...
