    That makes more sense. The current iteration are simply gaiters. Helpful, but not sealed.
    I use mine mostly for snow and gorse etc going off the beaten path.

    My one experience of Alpine climbing included descending a snow slope to get the start of the route. We wore plastic bags over our rock shoes with crampons fastened over the top.
    I remember getting to bottom of the route faster than I planned. ;)

    You should have used Safeway or Iceland plastic bags.

    I went and got myself a new pair from there too with their advice. Most comfortable boots I've had, been on coast path walks in Cornwall in them. They are Meindl, and a bit wider than the other options.
