    Rain has just arrived.
Wondering whether to go and watch the nat. hill climb or not, forecast looks even more rainy over there and my car has sprung a leak which I can't track down.

    Sounds horrible out there 🙄

No hounds to walk until they return later, so at a loose end until I go running at 8:30

A few jobs later and then the pub I assume

Been suckered in to picking up half the kids football team this morning. Looking forward to standing around in the rain for 2 hours then giving the muddy ungrateful little whatsits a ride home. Joy.

You have to invert this problem to solve it.
Fill the car up with water and see where it comes out.
TLW's OH tried that but for some inexplicable reason, he didn't like the idea.

Stormy Daniels out there. Just watched one of my plant frames, one remaining Sungold not that one tomato plant still productive, topple over. Rescue the green toms later and apply Banana!

Sun glimpsing out now, rain departing. Unless that wind drops I won't be fancying a bike ride.

    😂

It’s what one of the lads wrote when another chap cancelled todays run.

Drove to church Stretton struggling to do 20 mph at some points due to the deluge, so expected the worst but was rather nice for the run 😎

Similarly gopping down in Kent, was woken by rain beating against the bedroom window way too early. Staying inside to sort through boxes while Mrs. 666 braves the elements to go into Sevenoaks.

That was one of the suggestions in one of the YouTube videos...

Wiggled the scuttle board and water started pouring out by the front wheels. Seems to have solved it for now.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start was had, although it seemed earlier. Currently enjoying a coffee whilst contemplating what delights lie ahead. Weather has been awful but there is a bit of sunshine now, might see if I can get the EPO out for a waddle as she won't wobble.
Hope the bad weather didn't reveal any surprises in the new gaff Stevo, sorting boxes seems like the better option to be honest.

Afternoon. Still marking fecking exam papers. Tearing my hair out at the clear lack of preparation and revision!! Popping to the post office in a mo, now that the rain has stopped, then more marking. Fun times.

Pah. Kidz these days, with their soft pumpkins. When I were lad, it were neeps. Try hollowing out and carving a turnip, afore ye head aff oot guising.

Plus guising meant in return for some sweets or whatever, you had to put on a performance, sing a song, recite some stuff or the like, not just rock up and grab whatever you can.

Snowflakes. Or should that be pumpkinflakes.

when i were lad there was none of this imported trick or treat nonsense

too busy repurposing the contents of fireworks and other flammable substances for dramatic effect

Aye but. Guising on Halloween has always been a thing in Scotland, dress up, facemasks, scary stuff. Go round the houses, sing and dance, earn a treat.

Not USAnian style do nowt, grab it and run.

Now then. Setting alight the Serpentine? More details perlease.

Same with me, apart from setting fire to the serpentine. We put bangers in peoples empty milk bottles and retreated after knocking on the door. Bit dodgy when you think of the safety aspect, never got caught and never knowingly injured anyone.
Same here, we used to light rockets and set them off up the main road. A bit dopey but hell of a funny at the time. Just a way of amusing ourselves.
