Looks like it’s going to be a rather wet walk with the hounds 😢

WFH with lots to catch up on as I ended up taking most of yesterday off to help the tree surgeon - basically had an afternoon of strength and conditioning

Later is hill repeats and pub avoidance

Back is tight - nothing I can't handle but this would put a clubbie in a wheelchair/bedbound screaming, pleading for painkillers.

Just stuff today, really. May investigate those Exustar pedals more

Parents evening tonight. Had a bad dream about meeting the boys teacher, apparently she’s very pretty but I don’t even care, not looking forward to it 😕

Yer back supposed to ache intit? That's what it for. It wouldn't be tight if you weren't all cramped up in an Aygo or hiding in some small space somewhere. This has to stop.
Go and get Edwyn's top curry paste for all eventualities and rub some in and eat the rest.
Then at least, you won't be adding constipation to the list.

Exustar. That's like cheap Look pedals.

Did I say it was dull and wet here? I mean, it really is dull and wet but spooky mild.

Damp and mild here too. Morning off to do move related stuff, seems to be never ending. Beats working I suppose

Another grey (plus windy) non work working day in The Shire. Possibly I will get the windows washed today before the rain starts... Better get harvesting ripe enough produce as well, outside plants getting battered. Shame: e.g I have one Sungold (not that one, check the spelling) tomato plant growing up against a tall tree stump which has been remarkable productive given it's outside exposed to the elephants.

Should get a GP call back at some point re the ongoing painful joints; blood tests came back all normal, some good news at least. Just getting old? 🤔

you're actually very correct. i reckon we get to a certain age and someone creeps in one night and swaps out your perfectly serviceable back for a broken one but doesn't actually consult you. they just do it.

yup - going for the curry paste and Deep Heat treatment and see what happens. Or may ask TDV to get some stupid high heels on and stamp on me. One of the two.

The Aygo would never inflict pain though - it is too joyous.

Basically, yeah, innit. But a lot lighter. And cheaper. And just as good.

Wheeled the bike out of the shed to find the P* Fairies had visited.
Got the stand out, pulled the wheel, found the flint, cleaned everything and found a conti-supersonic tube in the shed.
Popped the tube in, remounted and pumped up.
Hmmm, somethings not right here, yep! I had fitted the old tube back in.
Took the wheel back out and popped the conti in.
Wouldn't pump up, Then I remembered why stopped buying conti tubes and retightened the valve core....*F*&$X C*N^T
Finally got it back together to find the logo on my tyre didn't line up with the valve.

    Morning.

Meetings happening at work on a stream that I manage... that I am not invited to or told about.

And then people wonder why I don't know the latest status of things... 6monthly meeting with my manager tomorrow, and I can't guarantee I won't lose my sh1t.

Didn't understand "...the logo on my tyre didn't line up with the valve" what advantage does this give? Personally I line up the tyre pressure markings with the valve

Visit to skin clinic to have stitches removed, all good for once. Then wasted a couple hours around town till OH had his appointment.

Got home too late to tackle any meaningful jobs. Faffed about in shed instead.

Tomorrow is a DAY OFF from taxi duty. I may find time to venture outdoors on a bicycle. Whatever next?

Well now. All minor minor compared with the ongoing travails of our Tasmanian devil, but chat with GP about test results show body is in good shape. So why the ongoing joint pains? All indicators of nasties like arthritis very low, thyroid, bone marrow et al working well. Good news but on other hand frustrating that cause(s) unknown.

Decided against referral now to specialists, prob just confirm the same; rerun tests in 2 months, check for any changes, if pains still there then, referral to happen.

More gym work methinks; given the season that's fine by me.

    Afternoon folks,
Another day of wfh, MFlurgy is fading thankfully. Bloody knackered as I had a bad night's kip, sweating out the fever didn't help. Should be right as rain tomorrow, rain is forecast so that figures. Have to go in to the orifice tomorrow, will drive the EPO in as she is in as well.
I've had a fairly simple day of dealing with the normal amounts of stupidity, no elephants interfering with tyre inflation and moving logos.
I've not been back to the quacks to pursue the headaches, they could try medication but it would be guessing and I don't really want to keep popping pills. Had my cholesterol checked to add to all the other checks and everything seems ok so I'm not going to worry about it. Probably what comes of dealing with so much stupid. I'll carry on following the advice given by the garage MF, just need to get my eyes tested more often.

    it looks correct.
AND, it makes it easier to find the hole in the tube & tyre after removal since both the valve and tyre marking correspond.

I also get more headaches than I think is normal, and been through the gamut of tests and scans. Nothing officially concluded. Best guess has been a combo of new glasses changing my eye’s point of focus a little, some worsening nerve/muscle pinches in neck affecting specific bits around my skull, occasional dehydration, and of all things its been somewhat coincidentally worse for a couple of weeks after both vaccine shots. Doc was somewhat concerned about the blood clot effect from that, but appears to be unrelated. So far.

You deal with too many idiots though. I’m in vastly better shape physically and mentally since I retired simply from not putting so much time banging my head on the desk metaphorically speaking.
