Animals aren't a substitute for people.

    Correct.
    They are quite often superior.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

There are almost 3000 people on Mull. Also have you not watched Balamory?

Depending on what you do as a business you might then have to declare processing personal data outside the UK (even within the EEA) and update privacy notices, contracts, data processing agreements, inform and gain approval from clients, work out how to implement geographic restrictions ....

So EU citizen working for me in London has residency but hubby has been offered a dream job in Paris. We point blank refuse to hire anybody on a French contract so can she carry on the current UK contract whilst living in Paris?

Living in Paris... more nightmare than dream I would think :-)

Anyway she can establish herself as a micro-entrepreneur then bill you for work / hours done. You'll more need to ask an accountant (which she'll need in France anyway really) about VAT (TVA).

The micro-entrepreneur status has tax advantages and is simple to set up (well relatively for France) but there are turn over limits.
