Damp indeed. Off for a day of volunteering work down in t'woods. Perhaps there might be a big surprise, though more likely just get pixxed down on.

(Wonder how volunteer work goes down with tory fanbois on here... cue some specious 'research' article promoting some shite or other agenda 😉)

Disappointing summer to say the least. Last day of English wet for me but the area of Poland I’m going is near the mountains and prone to evening thunderstorms so I should feel right at home.

I can recommend a trip up Rhialgwm if you like wading through head high wet ferns trying not to twist your ankle on a rut.

They are not chips, they are crisps.

Wet and dull but quite mild so i'll go for a soggy pedal now that the toots have been dropped off for day time activities courtesy of the lovely YMCA men and women volunteers.

Back to the grind after a week of 35 degree basking. Back to running in the rain.
I did manage to pick up a little bit of sculpture whilst away, I'll find it on my phone..

This mountain goats legs were sculpted on the great slopes of Arthur road & Home park road of Wimbledon. Summer months only of course. They’re closed in winter for the Skiing.

    Afternoon folks,
busy day of wfh, attempts at shirking have been rudely interrupted on numerous occasions. Almost lost my rag at gargantuan levels of stupidity, fortunately I realised there was no point as they couldn't give a monkey's so why should I. I should probably get a haircut so I can't pull it out so easily. Talking of which, the EPO has gone for a haircut so I must remember to notice when she gets back. I don't know how many times i've told her it doesn't matter that she had a whole 2" cut off, her barnett was long before and it's still long so looks similar to me. If she went out and had a buzz cut I would probably notice. Seems obvious to me.
Enjoy the holiday SG, glad you enjoed yours HD. Nice bit of desk sculpture there.
They all look very happy in that video of Thistle's gym.
Roll on 5 o'clock and I'll be off to the pub.

I went down to the woods today and... no big surprise, got soaked, rinsed, repeated, soaked again. And then some more.

Enjoyed the day, smaller working group today, just 8 of us. Cutting back the overhangs and verges on bridleway and paths. I use that bridleway often, is a beautiful loop, so vested interest in clearing. Was along there 2 weeks ago and don't remember quite so much low hanging branches and trailing brambles then. Good job done by the team for the benefit of all, walkists, jogists, horsie types and biklers.

Volunteering work is good. On whatever part of the spectrum of working on local nature reserves through to RNLI hardcore rescuers.

    Beer(s multiple) time. Cheers.

No, but at least I wouldn't be told off for not noticing. To be honest, she would probably still look good, but if she's happy, I'm happy.
