    With 60km left a 9 minutes behind the break, the peloton finally pick it up. Dutch trying to rip things apart with Vollering.

    And then it suddenly shuts down again - within a kilometre the attacks took forty seconds out of the lead, but it's now drifting out again.

    54km to go and AVV puts in a monster of an attack - rides being shelled out the back of the peloton and nobody able to close the gap. Peloton down to just twenty or so riders, AVV with a gap of 40 seconds. The break's lead is tumbling now.

    She had about 15 minutes and an area the size of Wales to avoid just riding into Emma Norsgsaard, who'd just crashed.

    Another Durham here. Coxed one very early morning in GF's boat (now she's my wife) and just got shouted at constantly by the other boats. 1990-1993 at Mildert.

    Not sure AVV i doing anything but wreck herself . stuck 40s ahead of the peleton but 6 mins behind the break.

    Women's race over for the peloton. AvV has 50 seconds with 45km to go, while the peloton piss around and refuse to chase. Same as always. The only hope is that the break can hold on to their 5 minutes 40 lead over AvV.

    AVV gap to peloton has been reduced, and is pegged at 5 mins to meet. Other Dutchies need to start riding or they'll all come away with nothing.

    Kiesenhofer 5 mins ahead of AaV with 35km to go with at least two riders between. Gold is out of reach for AaV and the Peleton.
    AaV seems to be pootling downhill.

    Not sure Eurosport are watching the same race as us. Taking it for granted that Kiesenhofer will be caught and suggesting she might want to sit up from her five minute lead. Madness.

    Looked like she might be tying up a bit on that last rise, but she's barely lost anything in the last 10km.

    Very strange race. AVVs attack (did she really think she could pull back 6 minutes on her own?) just send to have gifted the gold to the front group
