electric scooter and Bike

I have been working (now a year) I alternately go to work by car or bicycle. Car is too expensive for me, and by bike I think it's just a bit too far (15km, if I cycle 45 minutes) and so I'm looking for an alternative. We first looked at public transport, but that soon turned out to take much more time, about 5 minutes, this includes walking/cycling to the other side of the industrial area. Then I came to the Electric scooter and this seems to be a very good alternative so far. So far, I'm working on getting more into the electric scooter and seeing which type is suitable.
Because there wasn't a specific topic yet, I'm making one, of course not just for myself, but maybe for the many with me who are considering an electric scooter, or just want to know more about it.

Privately owned electric scooters are currently illegal to use on a public roads, paths and cycle lanes in the UK.

If you can afford it, maybe a (legal) e-bike is an option.0 -
