Bit patronising to not have your GC challenge taken seriously .

Some serious under estimating of Guilluame Martin going on.
Sure he will lose a packet to Vingegaard in the TT, but Carapaz?
It's complacent to think he won't hang around on the climbs.

Gefeliciteerd Bauke. My favourite out of the Dutch pros.

A stunning reclaiming of the crown from Amund Jansen today after the usurper Declercq stole it in the mountains...

Either he's not in form and Ineos just can't be bothered or he's waiting for one of the big climbs to try again at making a move.

Everyone would have slagged off Ineos for riding like idiots if they'd ridden today...
  • G Martin much more developed rider than two years ago. I am sure good recovery into week 3. A bad day is always a possibility. The 31 km tt a problem but as all climbers know you can make a lot of time in the mountains

Carapaz beat him by 1.34 in the first TT. The others were ahead of him. He lost another 2.27 on the Ventoux stage. Maybe he'll find something, but I'm guessing the others have judged him correctly

  • I think that's right but good development nonetheless. He certainly needs to develop in areas. Wanty must be miffed. They never supported him fully and it was in his contract he could go up to WT. Cofidis moved up to WT and got him but now Wanty are WT also
