Replacement (for) Shimano 105 disc brake caliper

Hello knowledgeable types.

My 105 disc brake caliper has decided to spit its oil out from around the piston somewhere, so firstly is the caliper now for the tip and a new one needed, or is it salvageable?
Secondly, given I have just looked online and the 105, Ultegra and even Tiagra flat mount calipers seem to be as available as rocking-horse shyte, would a Deaore XT be an adequate replacement?

The webpage does say 'Same frame requirement as road flat mount' so I presume so?

https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/deore-xt-m8100/BR-M8110.html

I wanted to snap one up asap just in case I'm left waiting months for a new one (should I need it). I can always flog it on if not needed.

Yes, should be fine. I’ve got a Deore post mount coupled to my 105 R7000 levers...

I'm in the same boat. I stripped the caliper down and the piston was badly cracked (possibly caused by the pad block slipping during bleeding).

Am currently waiting on a piston to arrive from AliExpress (cost about £9 all in) so will report back once it's fitted.
