Feck, boozy night not helped by not eating.

Today should be doing yesterday’s jobs as the camper van viewing derailed the day, but it’s sunny

    Morning.

Today is my son's birthday. It's difficult to get my head round the fact that 30 years have gone by since he was born. Wow, time flies when you're having fun.

The older I get, the better I was.

    Afternoon folks,
Traditional slow start was enjoyed, this was followed by getting most of the barnett removed. Probably lost a couple of stone and a lot more streamlined now. Off to the old dear's for lunch shortly. Weather is miserable.

Got caught by a 'shower' of minor biblical proportions while walking the hounds, luckily we dried out quite quickly. Handyman round again in a bit to finish off some stuff and we're lining up to start viewings for just after the Bank Holiday.

Off out now to drop more stuff at charity shops.

Afternoon. Bought the last few bits needed to do the majority of the diy task (moving the tv to the chimney breast and fitting a new fireplace since you asked). Won’t take long to finish now. In the meantime I’ve been learning how to do cryptic crosswords as it’s another thing that I’ve decided I should be able to do now I’m in my fifties. Along with getting better at chess.

Right. Time to make a big hole in the chimney breast.

First post-vacc#2-feeling-meh pootle, easy and sub 2 hours but felt fine, which is pleasing. Thurs, Fri and Sat was feeling down, not ill but not good. Onwards 👍

Back in time to a) miss the rain and b) watch the last of the Giro stage. Where are the MFs houses? Are they the ones which have neighbours with burned out and junk ridden gardens?

    You spelt mud wrong Step.
Been throwing it down here on and off all day.
How much money gets spent every year toshing up houses for sale and the work is immediately undone by the new owners?

Did some community gardening. Helped clear the cr@p away from and put some wooden edging round the bottom of the trees on the road. Bit of compost and topsoil, planted some lavender and hardy alpines. Met a few more of the neighbours. Even for an antisocial b@gger like me, it was a decent enough way to spend an afternoon. Sh1tty weather mind you. So had to mop up the hall afterwards.

Went for a short ride in the end and felt like poo but still better for going out. Followed by basking in the garden, sorry pilates class via zoom, then off for a run/hike.
So still feel like death but i can blame it on exercise.

Weird weather here: rumbles of thunder all afternoon with very localised downpours. Most of it seemed to go around me on the top of the hill. Maybe theres some pagan forcefield around the hill fort up there.

Arm is still sore from the jab, but its not red/swollen just bruised. So i dont think it's a vaccine side effect just cack handedness.

Can't see the scorch marks over the wall from all the stuff been hammered, set on fire and chucked. Something not right there.

Foot, yes, double knee reconstruction as well (ACL, MCL, miniscus)

Managed to snap my ankle as well.

Mate, the whole of my body is broken, but at the end of the day chicks dig scars and tats so its a winner.

Reminds me of that scene from Misery when Kathy Bates breaks James Caan’s ankles with a mallet.

I actually have a cupboard full of random limbs from different MFs - they are all held on by velcro so interchangeable dependant on the required tasking.

But you haven't got bionic titanium hips with spesh nylon acetabular cups and a heap of ss screws :)

    I don't see any tats.
Actually, I don't want to see any tats.
FFS don't show me the tats.
    Please don't.

But could me and Mrs P and Shorty and Tricky borrow your house in Italy oh wise, clever, fast, resourceful one?
