Extreme anorakness in tour route planning, but does anyone local to Newark happen to know exactly where the county border is on the A17 heading east out of Newark?

    Yes, it's after Coddington, before Beckingham.
    You go past Barnby Manor on your right and its a little way further on, marked by a stream (which runs into the river Witham) 90deg to the road at that point

    I believe there is a county boundry marker, unless its been knocked down

    Aha so nearer to Beckingham then? (the former is Notts, the later Lincs?)
