Different crank lengths

So after having my CX bike for almost 2 years now last night I found out between my 2 bikes I have different crank lengths. I have a CX bike with Ultegra R8000 with 172.5mm cranks and a road bike with Ultegra 6800 with 175mm cranks. Up until now ignorance has been bliss with no real pains or soreness with the different length. I only ever get knee pain in my left knee if I'm really pushing hard in the big ring on either bike so its not limited to one bike alone. The knee pain may also ve caused by a twisted left pelvis which I am getting physio on so that should hopefully be removed from the conversation in the future.

I run the saddles at roughly the same height for both bikes so should I leave things as they are or look to get the same sized cranks?

I would just make sure your saddle height is the same on both in relation to the crank length.

as you have just proven to yourself, it makes no difference at all unless you are MvdP or some Olympic track bod.

Just ride and enjoy and smile and laugh.
