So laundry looks nearly finished though:

Woke up at sungod o clock and couldn't get back to sleep, not helped by someone else deciding to make noise at that time.
In the end I went out for my first bike ride in 5 weeks :| Roads and driving skills still just as bad as I remember. Some doughnut overtook me on double whites as I was cresting a hill and nearly went head first into someone coming the other way.

Might go out again at lunchtime if the weather holds to break up the WFH monotony.

Day or revelations with DHL, I'd like to be able to tell you what the weathers like but I cant see out due to a low cloud reducing visibility to naff all (thats fog I guess). Dog not walked as yet local plod have advised against going into the woods early doors owing to some scrotes on quad bikes tearing around, noisy things too.

Anyway day of work awaits yesterdays stress testing was apparently inconclusive, purpose of said test was to see the improvement of a data centre output using historic data, cant work out how it is inconclusive surely its either better, or not? Meh another day staring at data output traces and comparing calculation times.

Daddy day care today, kids will be busy learning stuff so I’ll have to find something productive to do.

    Breakfast

Conveniently placed next to the dungeon entrance?

Morning, already suffered one call and got a few more later on but will fit in a bike ride at lunchtime and hope it stays dry. Dogs getting packed off somewhere for the day so peace reigns.

I think it’s just oddly shaped. Although the eggs were the same size but one looks smaller 🤷‍♂️

At least they understand if you haven’t got anything good to say, say nothing at all
  • Fuzzy today as we finished the sauvignon that went into the seafood pasta last night.

To be fair is was probably the gin afterwards that induced the fuzz.

intend to do nothing of use to anyone today... much like normal you may say.

That reminds me, mustn’t add wine to cottage pie, it did not taste good.

You're meant to cook it into the pie filling, not just tip it into your dish... ;)

I rarely add more than a glass or so to anything like that, and cook it out well, otherwise I get a moan from mini that "it tastes like wine".

WFH, tedium, eat something, wfh, eat, go out for a walk.
  • Yep, you have to flash off the alcohol otherwise it tastes a bit minging.

If I'm making a chilli it usually gets half a bottle of red, the other half is for me :)

Plus plus to the aboves. Glass of red to a pancetta type pasta or chilli. Got into risottos this past year, a glass of white e.g. SB first in after the arborio and cook off the liquid before starting with stock. Mmm mmm mmm.

On chillis, time to dig out the heated propagators and get started with this year's crop. Spring is coming! I need to venture out into plague zombie horde land and obtain / wrestle from them with aid of a large shovel to the head some bags of compost.

Otherwise domestic day and take it easy before another, the final day of mega yew tree planting tomorrow, after which I will again be xxxxed.

    Evening folks,
busy day of wfw for me, managed to wobble in which was good. Got rather wet coming home, but got rather wetter in the shower so it doesn't really matter.
That boiler room looks about the size of our kitchen. But then I don't limit the EPO to just the one room.
