saturday i can't walk you out in the morning dew today

'ning

cold and even more rain, doesn't seem to wash away the salt

summon willpower for cold wet ride with cafes for sustaining coffee and choc cake, defrost and laze, later boeuf bourguignon, red and/or bubbly
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

Lot of rain means long run will be unpleasant

Forecast here says the rain is going to fark off in an hour or two.
Doesn't seem to be too rainy at the moment though.

Was planning on a bike this afternoon but everywhere seems to be aching so not sure if it's a good idea.

Still waiting for new running shoes to turn up. Last I heard they hadn't even posted them yet.

Today’s highlight will be arrival and assembly of spice rack. The spice rack doesn’t require assembly but I have my big hammer ready just in case.

Do you have fire ready as well for when it all goes wrong?

Aren’t spices incendiaries? I wouldn’t have ordered the bloody thing if I knew it would be so dangerous.

    good point well presented.

until a full risk assesment is done I'd leave it boxed up, maybe outside.

Why have you bought a rack for your aftershave?

Cool, blustery and showery day. Meh.

Tennis comeback did not go as planned today. I wasn't expecting to be Borg Reborn, but was hoping I'd do *slightly* better. Sigh. Perhaps a 4 year break between games is not ideal after all.

Picked up some wheel rims to maybe build a few more spares some day.

Or use one of the wheel rims to make an oversized tennis racquet.

Afternoon folks, traditional slow start was enjoyed. Now relaxing with a coffee. Need to get some food in and might go for a stroll. Other than that nothing more strenuous than mild pottering.

    Not quite...

That has caused a fair bit of grief for the government to be honest...

I can imagine, whatever they do will be wrong in the eyes of many. Cancelling may have been easier, but they'd still get slated.

Slightly hungover but nothing that will prevent a mid afternoon beer.
Stuff to do later followed by lazing this evening in front of the fire.

Might ride tomorrow if I can get out of running.

Hounds walked, forecast snow never materialised and we just got rained on instead. Tried to get a pic but the little bugger's were running too fast - I guess they had to keep warm somehow :)

Now supping tea and contemplating an essential battery charging run for The Panzer (on the way to the supermarket of course).

I'm on a DIY tip today.
Mrs bought some DIY fitted wardrobes for the bedroom. You do all the measuring, the company does the design and cuts all pieces for you, ships it and then muggins has to put the blades thing together. It goes either side of the chimneybrest. One side is sloped so that comes in two cupboards. I've put those two together so far. Not have to do the other side, fit the doors and put together 6 drawers trying to do this whilst looking after the little one as wife is working..

It appears to come with only half the instructions though.

Plus I've taken him out for a walk.
