Happy New Year, all.

A bit of a strange New Years Eve for me. We usually go to my mum's who is 96, but this is the first year she's not been in her own home, she went into a care home just before lock-down and has only been out a couple of times since. We found out on Christmas Eve that she had tested positive for covid, otherwise she would have joined us for Christmas dinner.

Here's hoping for a better 2021, may the sun continue to shine on you all :)

The older I get, the better I was.

Morning, Happy new year to all ,let’s hope it’s better than 2020, freezing yet again, just walked tigger, the road gritters are out so I might have a ride on the main roads this morning, hopefully there will not be much traffic about.

    Pretty sure it's cold outside.

Going to keep up tradition and try to do a double parkrun in a bit, but a made up route locally and on my own.

Happy new year to you all.
Garden is still covered in the white stuff from last week but the consolation is that at the mo it looks as good as next door's who have spent a fortune on theirs.
Made the effort to stay up til midnight but for the life of me, I don't know why.

Happy New year all. What’s all this white stuff you speak of? You do live in some silly places.

Yup - that was the MF in charge of rapping, hand gestures and all things gangsta related. Peace and props to him and his memory.

There are more of us though and we shall never be taken down (unless its by an admin)

    Happy New Year all!

Think we're going for a walk, maybe the Narnia Trail at Banstead Woods.

You can't trust Admin. nor the Universal spread of the Interlocution dept.

Frosty here but bright and sunny.

Cafe's open in London on new years day?
That should be banned I tell you. The one day in the year cafe staff shouldn't have to put up with demanding over tanned cyclists smiling creepily and wanting Pineapple on toast.

MF is always happy to help someone who asks nicely - its when people start being nobbers/clubbies that he gets riled.

He's a helpful fellow is MF at heart, some say - including TDV - too happy to be helpful

This is a more civilised time. Had an extra lie in to start 2021, no doubt will be better than last year.

Will walk hounds once brekkie has been scoffed. Then something else, not sure what. Stropteen now staying another few days as uni has delayed all the practical sessions - she's being a student and still in bed.

Cafe here had their open sign on, but they haven't joined the 20th century and only take cash so couldn't stop on the way past.
Or they might've forgotten to switch the sign off from yesterday.

The small Tesco was shut here which provided some entertainment as people were tearing down the road to get there as fast as possible to find an empty car park, then driving right up to the door to check that the big shutters being down really did mean it was closed before racing off again in search of their shopping fix.

Hounds walked, chatty run with a pal before chilly omelet and now out for a quick spin before the family really start moving.

    Yesterday’s ride was fun

    Afternoon folks,
Traditional slow start was enjoyed. What to do today? Not as cold as it has been, might go for a longish walk, after a short walk with the EPO. feel a bit bad going off without her but, hey ho.

its about as good as he gets in some respects he's afraid. H3 is the cooking afficionado around here though.

Now, 1970/80s style duck a l'orange - that falls into MFs neck of the wood

MF turned over a new leaf for 2021. Not the expected reply to a recent post on mechanical issues. It was actually quite good given the amount of information volunteered.

    There. Happy now?
