Alsager and Crewe

Hello

Is there anything nice in or around these towns? Not like 2 hrs drive away, but actually in and around?

  • Bentley factory?

The train station out of the place?

Nantwich is okayish. I once got arrested there, if that counts?

It would need to be large and good to accommodate all the MatthewFalles.

No - dead serious. We're sitting here wondering wgat, if anything, those places add to humanity.

  • Crewe has good transport links, Alsager doesn't even have that.

Stoke isn't too far and is quite nice in parts, Crewe though...

Each of the MFs seems to have a homing beacon for the place so it allows them to occasionally regroup and plot things.
  • Once saw Kirk Brandon, the lead singer of Spear of Destiny play a gig in Crewe.

    Very cosmopolitan.

they all approach from different directions taking care to circumnivagate the Pool of Fetid Jism by the Mere Inn where the inbreds devour each other and breed.

I'm told a pub near the station is £2:20 a pint and has a pool table. Suppose it depends on your lifestyle

If it has a dartboard as well it sounds like a winner tbh.

Surely there must be more to these places though?

  • I worked at a quarry in Congleton for a while - that's round there somewhere isn't it? There was nothing there either, except the absolute archetype of a small town dive nightclub.

Crewe, or to give it it's full name " change at Crewe".

Congleton - yup, down the road. Now that’s a blast from the past.

It’s seeming less and less appealing by the minute....

Chatting up the only classy bit of fluff in the local nightclub.
Her gorilla of a boyfriend took exception and tried to bottle me.
It was like a scene out of the film Zulu, me and my 2 mates taking on hordes of country bumpkins.
They never knew what hit 'em, including the local rozzers as I'd lost the plot by the time they turned up and chinned one of them too (facepalm emoji required).

The girl in question became the mother of my daughter, so I got the girl in the end, though with hindsight I wish it had ended there and then on the dancefloor

Really? What were the charges and what did you get?

  • Nosey bugger, aren't you?

More than one charge, but including Assault of a Police Officer in the execution of his duty.

    6 months imprisonment.

I was told that it would have been more but for my exemplary record while in the Forces.

It was over 20 years ago, probably the lowest point of my life.

So did this incident occur this whilst you were in the Forces?

So why did the court take ex employment into account in sentencing of a civilian crime?

After all, charging and conviction of a crime of violence - in this case common assault and assault of a police officer is generally seen as a failure of CDRILS within the judicial system added to the failure of the HST leading to increased sentencing guidelines being implemented.
