    I would guess at maybe San Marino and Vatican City. I also remember a weird location in the mid 90s. Somewhere not really associated with cycling. I keep thinking Hungary but that was this year. Albania?

    Had to check the one I could vaguely remember for the benefit of my sanity and now I'm kicking myself.
  • 2012 Giro started in Herning Denmark and also hosted a road stage.
    Michael Valgren being the Danish connection as he was second to Gaspa in Amstel.

    My other stab would be 1999 for the Angliru.
    I remember Heras winning by a country mile in 2000 and I think they had it in back to back editions when it premiered.
