Struggling with tyres!

Probably a popular question on here somewhere but......
With the state of the roads (not all of them) pot holes / loose gravel im struggling with tyre wear / punctures. So just wandering what tyres are most strong / reliable. Im not to bothered about weight. My orro pyro can take upto 28mm width. I daily do 10 mile commuting to work & back. Any help would be grateful. Thanks 🚲

I have challenge strada for the winter 28 rear and 25 front due to clearance on my Trek 1.7 road bike and they've been amazing i will be replacing like for like once they wear outRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

+ 1 for the above . I use them on all my road bikes all year round for years and never had a puncture as does my wife. If all out puncture protection is what you want go for marathon plus but they are very very heavy and slow . I used them when I commuted to work . I find the Durano plus a really great compromise.Van Nicholas Ventus

Being the fat b'stard I am, weight is never an issue.
I was hoping to get another month or two out of the Conti GP5000's I'd bought at the start of the summer, but can only assume that being a fatty has killed them prematurely.1 -

I’ve got Gatorskins on one commuter and 4 seasons on the other. Haven’t had a puncture yet since using them.1

I used the schwalbe durano dd on my last bike and realised I still have 1 folding durano dd in the cupboard, worth getting 1 to make the set I think. If I can remember rightly I did go a year and a half puncture free.amrushton said:Schwalbe Durano Plus

Currently several threads chasing similar themes as yours.
