105 R7000 RD problem

Hi folks. Fitting the above rear mech and i have a peculiar problem. When in the stand it indexing perfectly but when i take it out on the road it won't go into the 11 cog at the back. everything is setup as it should be (limit screws, cable routing, tension etc).. can anyone shed any light on this?

thanks

Is the rear wheel alligned and tightened in place properly? Could be some movement under load thats messing with the allignment of rear mech and sprockets??

yes this often happens when a bike has been ridden for a little while, check hanger, adjust stop screw a little, check the chain isnt too worn.

Hanger or usually limit screws sort the problem
  • fit the b-screw so the upper jockey wheel is as close as it gets to the large cog teeth. I will post a whole invstigation on the new crap rear deraileurs for road that shimano introduced recenlty.
