Rock shock reba problem

Hi, I have 120mm reba's and I've lost a least 20mm travel. When I try to extend the fork it just springs back. Does anyone know what the problem is?

    Sounds like you are suffering from ‘suck down’ caused by air trapped in the negative chamber. Do a google search and you’ll find lots of mention of it and solutions.

    As Doddy says in passing, try the zip tie trick first.

    With a 4mm zip tie, dip the thin pointy end in some wet lube and carefully insert it between the stanchion and the wiper seal on the air side. You may have to squeeze the seal slightly between thumb and forefinger to help it to bulge and create a gap for the zip tie.

    Once in, push it well in until the thick part of the zip tie is into the fork by about an inch. If you are lucky, you will hear a hiss as the excess air is released. Stand back and observe the results!
