The entire point of the film was to see him in his final Tour and he never makes it, so instead you get all the stuff they were filming, presumably to give some build up to the main event.
The best bit for me was him riding up that crazy steep finish in Tireno. He was obviously mic’d properly so the onboard really feels like you’re him on the bike, and it’s basically someone blowing seriously hard, going very slowly, in front of a lot of onlookers.
First time I’ve seen something where you can really picture what it feels like.
You should watch it to see the peloton in action. It's not actually so much about Millar (as he didn't get selected for the tour, if you remember...)
I only watched some of it as it was late last night, but I'd agree. Favourite part so far is Cav shouting at Tony from the front of the peloton telling him to calm down. That, and the in-car conversations. 😱
I'll give the Lance one a watch next week.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.
The Lance documentary is interesting if only because it confirms what we all know already i.e. everyone was doing it, but Armstrong 's behaviour was particularly egregious and that he is still a psychopath.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
Just watched the Millar one. Confirms he is as he comes across on the podcasts, commentaries et al a multi layered person. Liked the intensity. Setting it out there.
Plus as have never been a racer or clubbie, some of the on board camera stuff is just wow, how, woah...
I finished watching it. Anyone dreaming of wanting to be a pro cyclist should be made to watch it. I think we all think we know how hard it can be. It is tougher.

The American bloke was surprised too, with todays TT.

Best depiction of the wrong end of the peloton since Charlie Wegelius's book.

The idea that it's 'Very David Millar' is what is stopping me watching. I didn't like his second book. I'm an anti-romantic when it comes to sport.
I will probably watching next week though if it's on iPlayer

Was concerned for a moment that he was going to whip out a towel and start enjoying a bit too much!
He needed to get caught before the end of his career and work the mea culpa much harder though.
