Startfitness seem to have some bargains around at the moment, including Castelli Motorolo jackets in large at 47% discount and quite a few of their bikes are up to 50% off too. I have bought from them myself, although not that recently, and they have always been good to deal with YMMV.

+1 for Startfitness, got this a couple weeks ago.
    https://www.startfitness.co.uk/castelli-perfetto-convertible-mens-cycling-jacket-grey-4516506-077.html
Only in large but luckily my size. Also found a voucher that also worked for 10% off (EXTRA10)
So managed to nab it for £93 inc p&p! It's the 2017 design but still a 5*reviewed Castelli jacket.
Cheers guys, just picked up a pair of (deep breath) Scott RC Premium ++++ Mens Cycling Bib Shorts for a massive £31.50, down from £115, and a nice pair of off-road "I could almost be a normal person" but still proper padded shorts for £27, down from £65... this sort of spending can get addictive :)
I sent for a pair of RC Premium ++++ and a pair of Pro+++.
Sent the premium back as the pad seemed in a strange position - too far forward. The Pro +++ are excellent though.

The wheels above have now vanised from their website.

**Ignore below - has now been noted that there is no fork, no handlebar, and no stem, so it's basically an embarassment**

This might not be the biggest bargain, but when these frames were available I think the very cheapest I saw them was £2400.
This one purports to be new, and is a whisker over £1100 (Cos it's missing loads of key propriatary parts.....) delivered. Scott Foil RC (HMX Frame) and they are a phenomenal ride.

    No fork included :(

Oh I missed that little gem :/
Oh yeh, now I see it, and also no handlebar & Integrated stem, and they are around £450 alone, and I guess the fork is probably £400 as well, so that makes it a crap deal.

Whereas the RC P++++ are the nicest thing I've ever ridden in, for me - just goes to show. Sadly, by the time I'd thoroughly tested them inside and out, and decided they were near perfect, they were gone from the website :(

I actually thought that the pair I sent back had been made incorrectly. ie they had been made back to front. I have 2 other pairs of Scott non bib shorts, a pair of Pro and a pair of Endurance to wear under padless tights. Both have the +++pad and are excellent. That's why I was so shocked by the Premiums, they were just so different.

Has anyone managed to get either of the Wiggle discount codes to work on any of the 1078 items (Currently) in the range?

There are 2 items I REALLY want, right size, good discount, the total is £20 over the £150 required for the £40 off, but it tells me it can't be applied - also tried the £20 off code, and also some random Castelli items, and the code will not apply on any of them.

Evidently I have not exhaustively gone through all 1078 items, and have instead sent them a support ticket, but the law of sod probably means that by the time they reply the items I want will have:
    - sold out
    - increased in price
    - no longer be in the chosen selection

Or it will be after the codes have expired....
I seem to recall them having history for this.

Does anyone know a contact number for them?

In the days of CRC and Wiggle being seperate companies you could call them, AND they could and would retrospectively apply codes that were not working due to an error.
Now it states they will not.

lol, well I have to pay for them now!
And I suspect they have had their pound of flesh and then some from me over the last 15 years!

Anyway, I have checked this morning, and the 1000+ items in the offer last night, has mysteriously dwindled to around 400 - the item I want has of course been one of the 'victims' :#

    Where's my surprised face....

I have messaged them to see if they will honour it - worth a try.

  • Not the best price ever (that was ~£199 in winter), but POWER15 makes https://www.probikekit.co.uk/cycling-power-meters/4iiii-precision-2.0-3d-power-meter-105-r7000-black/12104435.html ~£254

  • Just a heads up to report the M and L https://www.halfords.com/bikes/road-bikes/carrera-vanquish-mens-road-bike-2020---red---s-m-l-frames-348526.html are showing available to collect next weekend. While I've now comitted to a Marasa for commuting duty, I still reckon this could be a good buy, especially if you switch to bar end shifters and then presuming it is flat mount, buy a pair of hydraulic brakes (the £175 sets at Merlin have now sadly ran out of stock).

And https://www.halfords.com/bikes/bikes-available-next-week/?srule=price_decrease_rule shows the new ADV 8.9 can be ordered next week.

No idea of quality, but just in time for the TDF, PlanetX have some pro team kit from the early 2000s produced by Nalini.

    https://www.planetx.co.uk/s?sort=price-asc&q=NALINI

No idea if price is good as it was an impulse buy this morning, but Lidl have SIS 20tab hydration tubes for £4.99 and 5-packs of gel 2 for £6. Never tried them before, wish my stomach luck!

Also grabbed a few packs of their Jelly Babies, 55p for 230g.

Lidl Plus app currently has 20% confectionary digital voucher and £5 off a £25 basket digital voucher, which can be combined.

Nor the FDJ shorts in white. If you've ever followed someone in or following rain then you'll know why. 😱 Pick and choose carefully. 😉

    A review.
    They look the business!
The Rabobank jersey is branded as Agu instead of Nalini which is fair enough as that is what is on the front.
The shorts are not premium and have minimal (if any) padding but having done a 25 mile trial I'd say they are comfy enough. Is shorts padding like mitt padding? Hmmm. 🤔
In short, for the bundle package if you allow £20 each for for bib shorts and a tenner for a jersey then they are still value for money.
Expect Chalini instead of premium Nalini and you won't be disappointed.
Oh! And they are generously sized so consider downsizing. Definitely if between sizes.

    My monologue continues! :D

    https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-minor-bike-repairs-eg-loose-brakes-flat-tyres-shifting-gears-by-a-professional-mechanic-at-cycling-uk-150-locations-3527836

UKCycling have started a scheme where you can get 30mins of a mechanics time for "minor fixes" and/or evaluating "major fixes" which you could possibly get sorted at reduced cost with one of those £50 government repair vouchers (if they release another batch).

Shame it's mechanical discs and I'd expect hydraulics to be ~£150 extra, but £700 for the new London Rd with thru axles isn't too bad.

They only have limited stock and mainly larger sizes, but Planet X are now selling the Nalini tops and shorts for 3 for £30 mix and Match.

Buyer beware. These are the cheapest of cheapest kit Nalini will ever have made.
If they made them. My impression is that they are now priced what they are worth.

The neoprene gloves are fine for a tenner.

Shame they haven't got the co2 canisters this time (given it's hedge cutting season) or the 100 lumen rear light which was brilliant value.
  • PBK have a 3 hour promo price on a few tyres, think it started at 1000 BST.

    https://www.probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-tyres/continental-grand-prix-5000-clincher-road-tyre-twin-pack-black/12004047.html is £66 for a pair of 700x23/25/28mm
