Froome and Porte definitely sounds like a goer particulate as part of a “package” to entice Froome. Interesting that they’re looking at the two classic specialists too

Barnet to Sunweb is an interesting one

Saw this a few weeks back too:

Jungels is the perfect Ineos rider. ITT specialist who isn't good enough to win a GT, but good enough to manage being with the final selection every other day (to pull for the actual leader).

The Yates brothers splitting up would be an odd one and neither were keen on Ineos / Sky previously I though?

Probably see it as a chance to win something a bit more often.

Rumours: According to Beppe Conti, whose track record for rumours I am unsure of, Fabio Aru and Gianni Moscon are going to Israel.

Is it appropriate to call going to Israel a pilgrimage?

Yes originally they wanted to ride to win rather than in the service of others didn't they, he probably thinks he's at a level now where he would get that at Ineos even if not at the Tour.

Yeah that's pretty much how I see it, also the support they would get would be so much better at many other teams than MS.

I am sure Ineos will be desperate to keep hold of Moscon ;)

Didn’t see this coming if it happens. Figured he’d probably go to Israel to support Froome and target some week long races for himself.

I don’t see how he fits in with the new generation Ineos either. But it may just be to stop him going to Froome.

In other news Israel want Impey as road captain. Makes sense. Froome’s oldest friend in the peloton.

    Keldermann Sunweb to Bora

Can you ride a bike? Do you want an overbearing boss who will micromanage you life? Yes? Then Sunweb would like to hear from you

Daryl Impey confirmed for Israel SUN. So it looks like Froome is having a say in recruitment.

At a guess how many riders do you think they’ll bring in and secondly how many do you think they need?

They've got 19 riders under contract for next season according to procyclingstats.com, and had a roster of 30 riders this season. So they've still ten or so riders to recruit or retain.

I thought we'd see him at the front of a few spring classics this year, prior to Covid at least. I think this move helps him and Sagan.

WTF? More gobsmacked about GVA and Jungels than Bardet.

I'm surprised at any top rider going to AG2R or Sunweb. At least the former have Citroen money to spend.

I would have thought a Belgian classics star like van Avermaet would be on Ineos's shopping list. They're a big employer in Antwerp where De Ronde starts.

AG2R. Winners of what? Apart from the perennial not quite good enough Romain Bardet, struggling to think of any one else from that team as a winner of anything significant.
