As far as I can see from my usual search around the web, unlike recent editions, the race isn't going to be televised live. Nothing showing up for highlights either.
So it could end up a bit of a non event around here....

A key race for the Ineosologists though. And in fact anyone looking to see which GC riders have had a good lockdown

It may be amicable but nobody can tell me we won’t see Bernal putting down something of a marker on stage 3 even if it’s still a month out from the tour.

I see in the bookmakers odds Froome is 4th favourite....

    ....amongst the Ineos riders

    9/4 Sivakov
    3/1 Bernal
    7/2 Lopez
    6/1 Pinot
    18/1 G-Hart, Mollema, Bardet, Froome

An in form Sivakov could be the nail in the coffin for Froome’s tour

To me Kwiatkowski, van Baarle, Amadour and Castroviejo would seem a little bit of overkill on the rouleur/climber hybrids

I thought Amador was an out and out climber? Agree totally if he’s very similar to the others.

He is really, although maybe not a 'last man' climber. But I've seen him pull some big shifts on the flat too, which Poels also did when needed.

Right thanks for the info. Maybe then one of Amador, Kawasaki or Van Baarle might not go. I’d be surprised if Van Baarle didn’t make it though. That would free up a spot for a different option. I have a feeling Sivakov will probably go.

    I see that now.
A recent addition as it wasn't there when I checked the other day.
So, it's highlights dotted around on both ES1 and 2.

Not sure whether those will appear outside France.
    We will see.

Bryan Coqard won stage one. There was only a dozen or so in the front group, with the peloton not far behind

Did Froome finish in the bunch? BBC report says he lost a minute on the stage winner but doesn't make it very clear how the stage actually played out.

Apparently there was a crash with 1km to which held loads up. This is how Bernal & Bardet come top 10 in a bunch sprint

I'm not sure the BBC would be my go to site for any news about cycling.

Seem to be highlights on GCN each night but at an ungodly hour for those of us in this part of the world. Should be at a reasonable time for those of you in Europe though.
    Team My Man 2022:

Antwan Tolhoek, Sam Oomen, Tom Dumoulin, Thymen Arensman, Remco Evenepoel, Benoît Cosnefroy, Tom Pidcock, Mark Cavendish, Romain Bardet
